LARA, 3, and her favourite teddy bear enjoyed a special picnic at the Wyndham Civic Centre last week.
The teddy bears’ picnic was held by the council as part of National Playgroup Week and included games and activities for the city’s youngest residents and their cuddly friends.
Mayor Kim McAliney says the event celebrated the role of playgroups.
“Playgroups are a vital tool for our children, as they provide a safe space for them to socialise and learn language and behavioural skills.
“They’re also a great support network and social outlet for parents and carers who are looking after young children.”
