A Tarneit motorcyclist who tried to overtake a bus over double white lines in peak hour traffic has had his vehicle impounded by Wyndham police.
The man, 34, was caught doing 111km/h in a 70km/h zone along Tarneit Road. Police said the man overtook the bus and forced an oncoming police car to take evasive action. They impounded his bike for 30 days. He will front court to face charges of driving while disqualified, riding in a dangerous manner, crossing double lines and evading police.
In an another incident, a Wyndham Vale’s motorcycle was also impounded for 30 days after he was caught speeding on the Princes Freeway at Little River. Wyndham’s Senior Constable Graeme Crouch said the man, 52, was detected travelling at 161km/h in the 100km/h zone on Sunday morning.
