POLICE are looking for information after an attempted ATM theft in Hoppers Crossing last week.
Police said offenders disabled electricity at a Kilmur Road cafe about 2.50am last Saturday.
It is believed they used a vehicle to ram a building window, entered the cafe, and then tied a metal cable around the ATM.
The cable snapped when the offenders tried to move the machine.
Police want anyone who saw a ute or a small four-wheel-drive with a smashed rear window, in the area at the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
