Members of the Sanctuary Lakes Netball Club were having a ball last week after scoring a $1000 state government sports grant.
The club will receive a VicHealth ‘active club’ grant to purchase 40 netballs.
The Sanctuary Lakes Netball Association was founded in 2009 by residents of the suburb and Point Cook to provide space for local children to meet and get active.
Starting with just one team of 10 girls, the club has expanded rapidly and now boasts more than 100 members.
It is one of three in Wyndham that will receive the grants.
The Werribee Gymnastics Club will get $2980 and the Glen Orden Sports Club $3000.
