Hoppers Crossing school’s heroes in the war on cancer

These mini-superheroes were fighting the good fight last week in the name of cancer research.

Staff and students at The Grange P-12 college, including Alexis, Spencer and Amy, dressed up as their favourite superheroes for the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

The Hoppers Crossing school raised $2086 by hosting two superhero teas – one on Wednesday for the years 7-12 campus, the other on Thursday for the preps to year 6.

Community arts liaison manager Teresa Damjanic, who organised the event with the school’s coffee and chat parent and school community group, said both events were huge successes.

The funds raised will go to the Cancer Council’s cancer research, prevention and support services.
