Smile for the crocodile as it’s not going to bite

Nicole, Kayla and Liam recently had a close encounter with Saltwater Coast’s newest resident – a four-metre crocodile.

Fortunately, he’s not the biting type. The stainless-steel and bronze-plated statue has been installed at Saltwater Coast as part of a $5.5 million addition to the estate’s wetlands.

The crocodile forms part of the wetlands’ water course, with water cascading from its mouth into a play trough below.

The wetlands’ upgrade, to be finished this month, will feature a playground, outdoor amphitheatre, fitness equipment, boardwalks, viewing platforms, pathways, shelters, barbecue areas and toilets. .
