A 30-year-old Hoppers Crossing man has been accused of impersonating police by using a flashing blue LED light on his car.
Police tracked down the vehicle after receiving reports on Wednesday of the car using the lights while driving around Hoppers Crossing.
“The light set up was located in the left hand top corner of the windscreen,” Sergeant Graeme Crouch said.
The man is being interviewed over the offence of impersonating police.
