Star Weekly visited the redeveloped Eagle Stadium on Wednesday as teams took to the new courts for the first time.
The first stage of the stadium’s $47 million redevelopment is now complete.
Works included eight new indoor multi-sports courts, four external netball courts, a show court with seating for up to 500 people, a cafe and a temporary creche.
The second stage of the project includes a table tennis area including nine tables, a health club, an expansion of the show court to accommodate an extra 1000 people, meeting rooms and expansion of the creche and administration areas.
The work is expected to be completed in mid-2016.
