A Hoppers Crossing primary school is going green after receiving a water tank for use in its kitchen garden.
The tank was donated to Woodville Primary School by GreenCo Water to help teachers educate pupils about the importance of water conservation.
Woodville Primary School is one of 12 schools to receive a water tank.
Principal Lyn Vincent says the tank will be a valuable resource, enabling the collection of rainwater for use on the kitchen garden.
“Our garden provides first-hand experience of what it means to be environmentally friendly and the rewards reaped from gardening include fresh, healthy and delicious vegies for our students,” she said.
“It is something we, as a community, look forward to instilling in our students.” .
