Point Cook Senior Secondary College is defined by strong relationships between staff, students and the community, technology-based research and a great young adult learning environment and culture.
The college is a new school for students in years 10 to 12 located in a fast-growing area of Wyndham.
The school has grown from 100 year 10 students in 2008 to its present roll of 850 students in years 10, 11 and 12.
It is a high-quality VCE provider, with student achievement levels among the top few per cent in the state. A comprehensive VCAL program caters for students aiming for a future in the trades.
Point Cook Senior has a growing VET network that provides TAFE certificate access in a wide range of qualifications, including hairdressing, make-up, sport and recreation, and fashion. A broader network offers building and construction, automotive, electronics, music and hospitality.
Other programs include Select Tertiary Admissions Master Program (STAMP, select entry) in mathematics, science and commerce/law. Past students of the STAMP program have gone on to study biomedicine and environments at the University of Melbourne, engineering at RMIT, architecture at Monash University and science at La Trobe University.
