Calling all businesses

Wyndham businesses are being urged to submit their entries for this year’s Wyndham Business Awards.

The annual awards celebrate local talent, initiative, community spirit and drive.

Economic development portfolio holder Cr Intaj Khan said the awards were a great way to celebrate local businesses.

“Wyndham is lucky to have so many savvy businesses and business people within its borders,” he said.

“These awards give us a chance to acknowledge businesses for their contribution to the community and successes in their
chosen field.

“I look forward to learning more about how local businesses are helping make Wyndham a stronger, more successful community.”

To enter, businesses must be in Wyndham and hold a registered ABN. Categories include business person of the year, new and emerging, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, not-for-profit, retail, and transport and storage.

One business will also be named Wyndham’s business of the year.

Last year’s winner was Mainstream Aquaculture, while Westpoint Ford’s Chris Byrne was named business person of the year.

Nominations close June 26 at 5pm and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on August 28.
