Art exhibition

The Wyndham Art Prize is on at Wyndham Cultural Centre, 177 Watton Street, Werribee, from May 14-28. The exhibition showcases local, national and international artists and will be judged by McClelland Galleries senior curator Penny Teale.

Fun run

Entries are open for MyPhysio Werribee Mansion Run on May 3. The event caters for all levels of fitness and all members of the family, and includes an 11-kilometre and a 5.5-kilometre course, a 3.5 kilometre run/walk and a 1.2 kilometre dash for children. Entry prices start at $15 and increase to $35 for the 5.5 and 11 kilometre events.

Discover your past

Research your ancestors and connect with other like-minded people at family history group sessions at the Plaza library on the last Saturday of the month, 10am until noon, and Wyndham Vale library on Mondays. Sessions are free.

School fete

Support Woodville Primary School’s fete on May 2, 10am-4pm. There will be carnival games, children’s activities, show bags and food stalls. It’s at 33-57 Warringa Crescent, Hoppers Crossing.

Learn Maltese

Maltese classes are held at Kelly Park Community Centre, Synnot Street, Werribee, every Monday, 6.30-8.30pm. Classes are available for adults and beginners.
