Werribee made a lively start under new coach Andrew Purcell, with a 4-1 win over Monash University in a Hockey Victoria men’s Vic League 2 season opener at President’s Park on Saturday.
The Tigers shared the love with Sam Huxtable, Josh Pace, Luke Simpson and Jayden Street scoring.
In women’s Vic League 2, Werribee failed to trouble the scorers in a disappointing 2-0 loss to Old Xavarians at home.
