When a couple has enjoyed 40 years of wedded bliss, a gift of a ruby is traditional. But when you’re a Rotary club, anniversaries are celebrated a little bit differently.
Brimbank Central Rotary will host an art exhibition next month to celebrate its 40th anniversary and has invited students from St Albans Secondary College and Copperfield College to produce paintings based on the club’s 40 years of service to the community.
Organiser Nonie Gionfriddo says art awards, including a people’s choice, will be handed out at the exhibition’s opening night.
Celebrating Art With Rotary Club of Brimbank Central will open on Monday, May 4, at 5pm at the Hunt Club Community Arts Centre, 775 Ballarat Road, Deer Park.
The exhibition will run until May 12.
