From West End to Wyndham for Tarneit entertainer

Luke Alleva is a man of many faces.

From performing at London’s West End in Saturday Night Fever, Queen tribute show We Will Rock You and The Rocky Horror Show to starring in the Baz Luhrmann film Moulin Rouge, Alleva has already scaled great heights in the world of showbiz.

Now, the Tarneit resident is home to star in his own one-man show – The Dancin’ Man, celebrating the song and dance era and stage and screen legends including Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and Sammy Davis junior.

It’s a memorable journey back to when leading men had style, grace and charisma. The show includes a medley of some of the more iconic songs, such as Make ‘Em Laugh, It Had To Be You and Singin’ in the Rain.

“It’ll just be myself, a small band and plenty of classic songs,” Alleva said.

“There will be some tap, jazz, musical comedy, slapstick and vaudeville. It’s a high- energy, all-singing, all-dancing show.”

After appearing on stage and screen around Australia and abroad in the likes of Hot Shoe Shuffle, A Chorus Line, Xanadu, Guys and Dolls and Mamma Mia, the father-of-two keeps on following his dream.

“I’m the luckiest person alive,” he said. “If you can do what you love and get paid for it, you’re very fortunate.

“Being on stage when the lights come down and it’s just you and the audience – there’s no better feeling.”
