A slow start proved costly for the Western Jets in Sunday’s 27-point TAC Cup loss to Sandringham Dragons at RAMS Arena.
The Jets stalled out of the gate, giving up a 21-point lead at quarter-time after a lopsided 11 scoring shots to one, then had to play catch-up. Mitchell Palma, Lachlan Knight and Jackson Volpato were the better players for the Jets, but the side lacked firepower, with just five goals for the game.
The Jets are 0-2 and will be desperate to get their first win of the season against Oakleigh Chargers at Burbank Oval this Saturday.
