Residents at Mercy Health’s community care units in Werribee were treated to an international feast as part of A Taste of Harmony last week.
Mercy Health mental health services program director and passionate cook Mario Blandin de Chalain taught residents how to cook dishes from his native Mauritius before serving up other fare including king prawn rougaille with saffron and cumin rice.
A Taste of Harmony is held around Australia every March with the aim of encouraging workmates and friends to share food and stories from different cultural backgrounds.
