Young people are being encouraged to get loud at Point Cook library on Wednesday.
On March 25 from 6pm, the library will play host to the annual free Loud in the Library event for teenagers, which will include a silent disco, live DJs, dancing, food, games and prizes.
There will also be opportunities to get close to reptiles or capture a lasting memory of the day at the selfie station.
Wyndham council youth portfolio holder Marie Brittan said today’s libraries provided for all ages and interests.
“Events like Loud in the Library encourage young people to come along, be themselves, let loose and enjoy a free night out with a few friends in a safe environment,” Cr Brittan said.
“We hope by making libraries cool places to hang out, we can encourage further interest in literature in our young people.”
