Fresh as a Big Apple all the way from Werribee

Werribee’s own claim to comedy fame, Kelly Fastuca, may have made it in New York but she hasn’t forgotten her roots.

The young comic will take to the stage as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival later this month, bringing her relatable brand of funny back to home shores.

Fastuca’s one-hour set, I Need an Adult, will be at The Downstairs Lounge at the Grand Mercure Hotel from March 26.

The brand new stand-up show goes through her tumultuous coming-of-age adventures … Fastuca moved to New York five years ago knowing nobody and has survived two hurricanes, a polar vortex and a blizzard.

But from a sickness involving her rear end to meeting men on public transport, her life has been described as a “hilariously twisted [and] brutally funny” mess.

I Need an Adult

Fastuca’s (mis)adventures will be playing until April 19. Tickets start at $15 and are available at www.trybooking.com/GNNN.
