It was a case of so close yet so far for Werribee Giants in the Baseball Victoria summer league division 2 finals series.
The Giants were swept 2-0 by Moorabbin in the best-of-three semi-finals but both games were decided by heartbreaking one-run margins.
Game one was an extra-inning thriller with Moorabbin winning 8-7 in the 10th, while game two was dominated by the batters with Moorabbin nailing it 11-10.
