VTCA: Hoppers Crossing with chance despite falling for 159

A massive 14 wickets fell on day one and neither Hoppers Crossing nor Hampton could claim early honours in a Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division arm wrestle at Hogans Road Reserve on Saturday.

The Cats were the ones initially licking their wounds after being rolled for just 159, but the work of their bowlers late in the day changed the complexion of the game and Hampton limped to stumps on 4-21.

It is a crucial game for the Cats, who are clinging to the fourth and last spot in the finals midway through the penultimate round.
