Chill out at Kelly Park for Midsumma Festival

Sit back, relax and enjoy smooth sounds in the twilight as Werribee’s Kelly Park transforms into a cool outdoor lounge next week.

Park Lounge, part of the Midsumma Festival, will feature performances by Australian indie pop-rock singer-songwriter Monique Brumby alongside some of the best local talent, live art, children’s activities and plenty of places to get creative or just chill out.

There will also be a car boot sale with a difference and you’ll also be able to sample plenty from the best food trucks in the west.

The Midsumma Festival is Victoria’s annual celebration of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer communities and includes a program of arts and cultural events at 85 locations across Melbourne and regional Victoria until February 8.

Park Lounge will be held from 4-9pm on February 7 at Kelly Park, corner Synnot and Cherry streets, Werribee.

In the lead-up, you can let loose your creative flair by drawing, painting or writing a message of pride on a colourful string of flags.

The workshop will be held from 5-9pm on February 4. Bookings: community.development@wyndham.vic.gov.au.
