These aren’t your typical sandcastles, they’re works of art.
Some of the world’s best sand sculptors, including dual Australian champion Jino van Bruinessen (pictured), visited Werribee Plaza last week.
Using more than 24 tonnes of sand, they carved out a summer carnival scene which included an elephant, lions and a clown.
Until February 1, children will be able to have their photos taken with the sculptures, take part in sand art workshops and win tickets to Sand Sculpting Australia’s exhibition at Frankston Beach.
