Children’s Week picnic

Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Tweety Bird will be among visitors to Werribee Park this Sunday for the annual Children’s Week Picnic. There will be a toy swap, sack races and performances from Hey Dee Music and the Mudcakes, 10am-4pm.

Art exhibition

Thomas Carr College arts and technology students will showcase their work at an exhibition this Thursday from 7pm. The event will include a fashion parade. It’s on at 35 Thomas Carr Drive, Tarneit.

Garage sale trail

Bargain hunters will hit the streets of Wyndham this Saturday for a day of simultaneous garage sales. The city is taking part in a national event to give households and community groups a chance to de-clutter and raise money.

Charity day

Help raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia during a fun day at Wyndham Civic Centre from 11am this Sunday. The event is part of a Point Cook Motorcycle Club charity ride involving more than 500 riders.

Welsh choir

The Victorian Welsh Choir will perform at St James Community Hall, 336 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing on Sunday, November 2, at 2pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Handmade fair

More than 80 stallholders from around Victoria will showcase their craft skills at the Werribee Craft Festival on Sunday, November 9, from 9am-5pm at Wyndham Civic Centre.

Roses on show

The Victoria Rose and Garden Show will feature more than 5000 roses at Werribee Park on November 16, 10am-3pm. Learn sustainable gardening tips from industry experts, buy plants and gardening tools and get tips from more than 50 stallholders. There’ll be live jazz, great food and wine. BYO picnic blanket.
