He’s only seven, but Wyndham Vale’s Coen Blake has already experienced what it’s like to set foot on the MCG on the last Saturday in September.
Coen, a member of the Werribee Centrals Auskick centre, presented a premiership medal to Hawks ruckman Ben McEvoy following the AFL Grand Final.
It was the culmination of a dream weekend for Coen which began in style when Geelong captain and Auskick ambassador Joel Selwood presented him with an official jumper at the ‘Auskicker of the Year’ awards dinner before being part of the grand final parade.
On grand final day, Coen and his fellow Auskickers took to the field at half-time, playing in front of nearly 100,000 spectators. The AFL’s Auskick program is held at locations around Australia.
