Children at two Wyndham kindergartens will have access to more, and better, computers after the announcement of two state government grants.
Goodstart Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee will share in $23,000 to upgrade IT services.
Kindergartens across the state will receive up to $1500 each to improve their IT facilities. They were also given the chance to apply for grants to upgrade their centres.
Goodstart Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee will also receive money to install interactive touchscreens and upgrade bathrooms.
Western Metropolitan Liberal MP Andrew Elsbury said the grants would give children access to better services.
“This is a good news story for local families and children who will benefit from these upgraded early-year services,” he said.
Children and Early Childhood Development Minister Wendy Lovell said the grants would help kinders continue to deliver world-class
learning programs.
“Victoria already leads the nation in early-childhood education and care, and by improving early-years facilities and infrastructure, we are making Victoria an even better place for families to raise their children.”
