Werribee Show ’n’ Shine: Old beauties aid cancer fight

Classic cars and motorbikes are about to roar into town for Werribee’s fourth annual Show ’n’ Shine on Sunday.

Showcased will be everything from pre-1985 Australian and American muscle, classic and vintage cars to hotrods and custom motorbikes, with all funds raised going to Cancer Council Victoria.

Organiser Nicholas Furnari, of Hoppers Crossing, was inspired to rally behind the cause after his mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer three years ago; she has successfully fought off the disease.

The Show ’n’ Shines have raised more than $63,000 to support the charity’s programs and support services.

This year’s event will include children’s activities, food vendors and a sausage sizzle.

The extravaganza is from 10am to 3pm at the Wyndham Civic Centre, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee. Entry is by gold coin donation.
