Wyndhamvale has advanced to the Victorian Women’s Football League division 3 grand final by the skin of its teeth after a come-from-behind eight-point win over Port Melbourne Colts in the second semi-final at Chirnside Park on Sunday.
The minor premier Falcons will meet the winner of this weekend’s preliminary final, between the Colts and Whitehorse, in the season decider on August 30.
The Falcons rode their luck in the opening week of the finals, overcoming a 21-point quarter-time deficit against the Colts to win on the back of two crucial goals to Kayla Slattery.
