Werribee Centrals were overrun by a fast-finishing Belmont Lions in the Geelong and District Football League at Galvin Park on Saturday.
The Centurions led by 39 points at half time, but conceded 11 of the last 15 goals to lose by a point and tumble out of the finals race.
Forward Jason Butty booted five goals for the Centurions, while Luke Phipps was named best in his last game as playing coach.
