RAAF band tunes up for Werribee gig on August 28

The Royal Australian Air Force Band will cap off a stellar year with a concert at the Wyndham Cultural Centre this month.

The show will feature the RAAF’s symphonic wind orchestra, vocalist Roxanne Moxham, the Fife and Drums Corps, Sergeant Andrew Heading performing Rimsky-Korsakov’s Concerto For Trombone and Anzac Day bugler Peter McCracken performing Nightfall In Camp.

The band has performed at several major events this year, including the Centenary of Military Aviation air show at Point Cook in March, which commemorated the first military flight in Australia.

The band also performed for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Australia in April, and took part in the Anzac Day ceremonies at Gallipoli.

The band will take to the stage in Werribee on Thursday, August 28, at 8pm.

Admission is free.
