ONE ELECTRIC DAY: Plenty of star power at Werribee Park

Guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist Peter Farnan promises a blast when his Boom Crash Opera, with other legendary Aussie bands, takes to a Werribee Park stage later this year.

‘Opera’ is one of six Australian rock acts performing at this year’s One Electric Day festival on November 9.

The festival was organised after tickets to last year’s show sold out months in advance.

Joining Boom Crash Opera will be the Hoodoo Gurus, James Reyne, Mondo Rock, Diesel and Daryl Braithwaite.

Farnan said festivals such as One Electric Day had been a long time coming and were a great opportunity for “heritage’’ rock acts to continue playing live shows, putting aside their competitive differences.

“Our band doesn’t have anything to prove as far as beating the other bands, but we still have something to prove to ourselves.

“We love playing to a big audience. Our music suits these big gatherings.”

Tickets, at $89.90, are available from Ticketmaster. For more details go to www.oneelectricday.com.au.
