Werribee shooting victims not talking to police

Two Werribee men who were shot overnight in Melbourne’s west have taken themselves to hospital and are refusing to co-operate with police.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Belle Nolan said the men – a 19-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Werribee – admitted themselves to Werribee Mercy Hospital about 12.45am on Saturday.

The teenager suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, while the 23-year-old man was shot in the hand.

Both injures were not life-threatening.

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or go to www.crimestoppers.com.au
