Students from Tarneit’s Al Taqwa College have shown off their creative side, helping design a bench inspired by the mythical bunyip.
The bench has been installed at a park in Tarneit’s Heartlands estate, giving visitors somewhere to rest.
It was created by sculptor Angie Polglaze (pictured) with the help of the school’s year 7 and 8 students.
Ms Polglaze said she was thrilled to see the creative ideas students came up with, using only native Australian animals.
Asset1-developed community sales director Mark Adams said the bench would become a permanent feature in the park.
