Werribee Bears coughed up a 16-point lead to lose 18-16 to the ladder-leading Sunbury Tigers at Haines Drive Reserve on Saturday.
The Bears are still on track to play finals, sitting third on the ladder, but coach Aaron Tiananga must have pondered what might have been had his side managed to pull off the upset.
Tiananga’s men are sure to be revved up for their away clash with the Doveton Steelers on Saturday as they strive to get back to their winning ways.
