Yarn and knitting needles were at the ready at Point Cook Town Centre last Thursday as knitters from around Wyndham stitched and purled their way through the afternoon.
The centre hosted Wyndham’s first Worldwide Knit in Public Day event, organised by the council and Point Cook Community Learning Centre.
The event is organised annually by knitters around the world to celebrate and promote craft and creativity.
The Wyndham event is one of several craft activities being held in the municipality in the coming months, including a yarn-bombing workshop at Tarneit Community Centre on August 16 and weaving workshops at Iramoo Community Centre.
