Wild Nights out in Werribee
Werribee Open Range Zoo will come alive after dark during the winter school holidays as part of its Wild Nights program. From June 28 to July 12, visitors to the zoo can toast marshmallows, watch a shadow puppet show or get close to the zoo’s nocturnal residents.
Rose pruning
Learn how to care for your roses at a pruning session at the State Rose Garden at Werribee Park on Saturday, June 28. The lessons are run by volunteers who maintain the garden’s 5500 roses.

Manage your anger
The Laverton Community Centre and Neighbourhood House are running women’s anger management, self-esteem and assertion courses, starting August 12. Courses are also provided in meditation and for those struggling with mental health issues. The centre is in the Laverton Community Hub on the corner of Railway Avenue and Crown Street.
