State Rose Garden volunteers – including Kay Hodge, Joan Broadstock and Alex Hodge – are unpacking their secateurs and getting ready to share tips on caring for roses.
The volunteers will hold pruning lessons at the garden, at Werribee Park, to help home gardeners prepare their blooms for winter.
The lessons will include tips and tricks to help rose lovers get the most out of their plants.
Volunteers have also begun tidying up the State Rose Garden, with the pruning of its 5500 roses starting last week.
The lessons are on Sunday June 21 and 28, from 11am-1pm. For details call 0430 400 251.
