Werribee’s Anzac day march in tribute to brave battlers

Almost 1000 people attended Werribee’s annual Anzac Day march on Sunday.

The march from the Wyndham Cultural Centre to the Werribee RSL was led by the Rats of Tobruk pipe band (pictured).

Werribee RSL manager John Kott said many Wyndham residents and veterans gathered to pay their respects.

“It is extremely important … for the wider community to show their appreciation in commemoration of all wars that have been fought, the lives that have been lost and sacrifices that have been made.”

A dawn service will be held at the Werribee cenotaph at 6.30am on Anzac Day.

A free breakfast will be provided. Contact Werribee RSL for catering.
