Twelve months of hard work paid off for Werribee’s Velisha La’Moza when she took out first place in her category at last week’s Horse of the Year show at Werribee Park.
Velisha, 8, and her horse Willowglen Lightning Bolt won the “first ridden show hunter saddle pony” event for riders aged eight and under.
The show, which ran from Thursday to Sunday, was a chance for riders to show off their horses and skills in front of judges from the UK and esteemed Australian show ringmasters.
