UPDATE: Firefighters have brought a Little River grass fire under control but residents are not out of the woods yet.
The CFA is advising residents to stay close to shelter in case conditions change suddenly.
The fire was controlled about 1.45pm near Bulban Road.
Earlier in the day, the CFA issued an emergency warning for the area, advising residents that they were in immediate danger.
Two water bombing aircrafts and about 30 firefighters battled the out-of-control-blaze, which started at Edgars Road.
A watch and act alert has been issued for Little River.
