CHRISTMAS AT THE LAKES

Point Cook’s annual carols celebration is on this Sunday from 4-9.30pm. Featuring stage performances, rides, an animal farm, face painting and an appearance by Santa. At Breezewater Reserve, Sanctuary Lakes North Boulevard. Entry by gold coin donation. No pets or alcohol.

Yerambooee Community Centre has limited places available for its ‘three-plus’ group. Next year’s times will be 9am-1pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 11.30am-2.30pm on Thursdays; 55 Maple Crescent, Hoppers Crossing.

RAISE YOUR VOICE

Denis Walter presents a Christmas concert in Geelong this Saturday. Carols By The Bay showcases new talent to the thousands who gather on the lawns of Eastern Beach Reserve. Entertaining will be the Australian Youth Band, Lisa Edwards, harpist Alana Conway, violinist Sally Cooper, the Melbourne Gospel Choir, children’s favourites the Mik Maks, Wilbur Weekly and Humphrey B Bear. This year’s event seeks to raise awareness of SIDS.
