Kokoda Track: Students to follow path of our war heroes

A group of Wyndham students will put their physical and mental strength to the test when they embark on a 98-kilometre trek along the Kokoda Track next April.

Eighteen students, including Carlee, Luke, Stan, Paul and Maddie (pictured) will join Constable Darren Murrihy and Leading Senior Constable James Ridsdale (also pictured) on the eight-day walk.

Senior Constable Ridsdale says the trek is part of a police-run program to encourage the development of future youth leaders.

Participants will also help Werribee Rotary Club run Wynbay Blue Light discos.
