Big steps for little ‘premmie’ treasures

Kya Wise was born three months premature and spent almost 10 weeks in hospital, but now, at nearly four, she is making huge steps, including helping families with other “premmies”.

This Sunday she will join her Point Cook parents Julie and Darren on the Walk for Prems at Albert Park for Life’s Little Treasures Foundation, which provides support, friendship and information to families of children born prematurely.

Mrs Wise will also hold free Pilates sessions this Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm in return for donations to the foundation, which she says she relied on when Kya was a baby.
