LETTER: You’re one of a kind, Darryl

Dear Editor. It was with a great deal of pleasure that I read the recent Wyndham Weekly interview with Werribee CFA Captain Darryl Wells.

I have known Darryl for a great many years now, having first met him when I was a member of the WWMB fire team and then working with him in the Metropolitan Ambulance Service.

Darryl’s honesty and intergrity is such a breath of fresh air in these days of mistrust and deciet, and his committment to the Werribee community does not only himself credit, but also his family members whom follow his noteworthy example.

A more honest, deserving person, and tireless worker I would find it very hard to believe could possibly exist within our community.

Ambo, Firey, JP, and tireless community contributor – I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful person. I am extremely fortunate to call him ‘my friend’ and we should all be thankful that such people do still exist in today’s modern world.

From one whom greatly appreciates your efforts, I offer my sincerest ‘thanks’ to this most wonderful of human beings.

Bill Allen
