EXPEDITED DENTURES

Recently, I was at a local dentist, talking about the public system’s waiting times.

I was informed that a new system was rolled out on July 1, funded
by the state government to the tune of millions of dollars, to cut down
waiting times for dentures.

Apparently this funding was to allow eligible residents to go to private practices to get their dentures at a reduced cost.

Yet no advertising has been done to make the public aware of this scheme.

I hate it when priorities are based on
political agendas. The eastern suburbs get the go-ahead for the East
West Link when there was a strong case for the western side to be built
first. Then there’s all those rail level-crossing upgrades over the
years. We all pay taxes but citizens in the west are constantly being
ignored.

■ The “new” Liberal state government is
still a do-nothing government. It’s making itself look like it is doing
something by going for the “show pony” effect with a tunnel few will
need or ever use.

■ Victoria doesn’t stop at Melbourne, you clowns. The sooner you realise that, the better.
