DAIRY technicians from the world’s seventh-largest milk producing country visited Werribee this month to learn some tricks of the trade at the Gilbert Chandler Centre.
Industry representatives from China (pictured with instructor Carole Willman, front left), got a taste for different kinds of cheeses at the Sneydes Road factory.
While China is increasing its number of cows by one-million each year, its cheese range is still limited to simple cheddars and mozzarella.
The centre often hosts international delegations from countries looking to expand their cheese manufacturing.
Part of the National Centre for Dairy Education, the centre offers certificate and diploma food science courses to about 70 students a year.
