THE mother of a missing 15-year-old who was spotted in Werribee three months ago has made a tearful plea for her daughter to come home.
Sarah Brown went missing from her family’s Templestowe home in February and has not made contact since. There has not been a confirmed sighting since she was seen in Werribee and Geelong in April and May this year.
On Thursday, Sarah’s mother Natasha Brown made a public appeal for her daughter to come home.
“She never leaves my mind,” Ms Brown said.
“I just want her home. I love her and I miss her.
“We had her birthday last week and everything is still sitting there and waiting for her.”
Describing her daughter as shy but friendly, Ms Brown said her daughter had been “distant” in the days leading up to her disappearance.
“She was going to go to her friend’s place for a night and that was the last we heard of her,” Ms Brown said.
Constable Michael Vaughn said Sarah had disconnected all contact with her family, bank account and social media. “Police have no knowledge of how Sarah feeds herself, clothes herself, where she is sleeping or who she is with.”
Constable Vaughn said police had concerns for Sarah given the length of time she had been missing.
Police believe Sarah is using public transport to get around and may be in the company of at least one other girl.
Sarah is described as Caucasian, 160 centimetres, with a slim build, shoulder-length light brown hair with bright pink tips, brown eyes and fair skin. Information to Crimestoppers, 1800 333 000.
