WERRIBEE irrigators will begin the season with access to 75 per cent of high-reliability water shares.
The allocation is lower than last year’s 100 per cent starting allocation, but Southern Rural Water’s west water supply manager Edward Smith said reduced inflows into storages and a drier summer were to blame.
