CHILDREN in detention centres around the country will soon have access to a range of new books, thanks to the hard work of students at Manor Lakes College.
Year 7 students, including Ryan, Lotese, Natasha and Jaxon (pictured), started a book drive after learning about the conditions in detention centres.
“We believe that these children are in desperate need of books as they don’t have any and need a better education,’’ classmate Luke said.
“These children are very poor and deserve better than what they have.”
