Awesome foursome get vocal

THE Beckitt Brothers, of Wyndham Vale, know a thing or two about harmony.

The talented siblings thrilled audiences  in Drysdale last Saturday at the state qualifying contest for the Barbershop Harmony Australia convention in October.

Alexander, 19, Christopher, 17, Xavier, 15, and Elijah, 14 (pictured), filled the small auditorium at Drysdale’s Potato Shed with their near-perfect pitch.

Their father, Joseph, has nurtured their talent from an early age.  “I’m a piano teacher and my wife is an opera singer, so we always have had them singing at home.”

The brothers have their sights set on a far bigger audience  — next weekend they will audition for the next series of

Australia’s Got Talent

Elijah sums up the group’s feelings about music and singing: “Singing means everything to me. I don’t see a time in my life when singing isn’t a part of it.”
